Interested in coaching a baseball or softball team?
You must sign up to be a coach or assistant coach. Each coach will have to pass a background check.
General Information: Registration fee includes a jersey and a hat, field time for team practices, regular season games, and an end of season tournament. More details on season schedule and player assessments will be posted to lhyl.org when they are available.
Player Ages: LHYL abides by CenTex Baseball and Pony Rules, these can be found on our baseball and softball home pages. League ages will be strictly enforced this season.
The baseball league will be comprised of American and National League divisions for 6U, 8U, and 10U player ages unless participation does not allow.
Except for the 4U division, all other age groups of baseball will have approximately 8 to 10 games, a single-elimination End of Season tournament, and a maximum of 3 touches per week. Umpires will be present for all baseball games except the 4U division.
Player Assessments are scheduled for the week of February 6 through 10 and will be held for all leagues except 4U and 6U American League. Players who register for 4U and 6U American League will be randomly placed on teams, so the best way for those players to play together is if one of the parents volunteers to coach and protects those respective players. Players in all other baseball Divisions will be drafted. **Walk up registration during assessments will NOT be allowed**
Player protections for American League teams are limited to 4. National League teams must have a minimum of 4 player protections, and will be limited to a maximum of 6.
